Chaplin does it all in the classic The Gold Rush as producer, director, writer and star. Chaplin, in his Little Tramp persona with Georgia Hale, Mack Swain, Tom Murray, Henry Bergman, and Malcolm Waite, declared several times that this was the film for which he most wanted to be remembered. Though it was a silent film, it received Academy Award nominations for Best Music and Best Sound Recording upon its re-release in 1942. It is the 5th highest grossing film in silent film history.

Join us after the film for CineClub, a community discussion in The Paramount Bar about the film, covering silent film trivia questions and exploring silent film in general.
