Starhawk Spiral Dance says
The spiral is an ancient symbol of rebirth and regeneration, and a basic pattern of growth found in nature. In these challenging times, when we face both social and environmental melt-downs, we need to find sources of our own hope and energy for action. In this ritual, held at the dark of the moon and the beginning of winter, we can acknowledge together our grief and anger at the destruction around us, find our own deep sources of creativity and resilience, and dance the spiral of renewal.

Everyone participates in the spiral dance. Together as a community we raise ecstatic energy that can move us through dis-heartenment to empowerment. When we dance the Spiral, young and old together from many cultures and backgrounds, we remember and honor our own past at the same time that we renew our vision and embrace the future. Let it begin now!
