The Seattle Public Library says
Join us for an outdoor screening of the Seattle classic "Streetwise" at Olympic Sculpture Park and build community around Seattle's housing crisis.

Streetwise earned an Oscar nomination (1984) for Best Documentary for its depiction of teenagers living on the streets of downtown Seattle.

The partnership with The Seattle Art Museum will also feature hands-on art making, spoken word poetry, and live music.

6:00 pm: Food truck & art activities
7:00 pm: Live music by Big World Breaks
7:45 pm: Youth Speaks performs
8:00 pm: “Streetwise” film begins (90 min. run time)
9:30 pm: Call & response led by Youth Speaks

The event is happening rain or shine -- if it’s wet or windy we will be convening indoors. Early arrival, blankets, and beach chairs are suggested. This program is free and everyone is welcome!
