Artist Home Presents the 3rd Annual Sync Music Video Festival in partnership with SIFF, The Recording Academy and Seattle Weekly. Sync Music Video Festival will bring Seattle's music and film community together at the SIFF Cinema Uptown on February 28, 2015, for an evening of jury-selected music videos that have been created in the past year. This year's program will include the collected works of three Featured Directors, an Artist Spotlight on Shabazz Palaces, and a video Mixtape of works from the Northwest and beyond, all on SIFF's big screen. Plus, a world premiere from 2014 Sync Jury Award winner Stephan Gray, and, for videomakers and artists, the Recording Academy will be hosting a panel discussion at SIFF Film Center. SCHEDULE 7 p.m. Special Panel Discussion at SIFF Film Center - FREE 305 Harrison Street, Seattle, WA 98109 Visual media experts will discuss how to create a high quality project on a limited budget, and maximize its role in an artist's marketing strategy. From budgeting to permits to blog placements, the panelists will discuss the many stages of the music video process, showing the complex structure behind this powerful art form. 9 p.m. Sync Music Video Festival at SIFF Cinema Uptown 511 Queen Anne Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109 Artist Spotlight Shabazz Palaces Featured Directors Celene Ramadan, Ransom & Reason, Tristan Seniuk Mixed Tape featuring music by Kris Orlowski, Sandrider, Iska Dhaaf, Tangerine, Prom Queen, Ages and Ages, and more. Mix Tape directors - Pilar Pascual Cerdan Jerry Howard Marcy Stone-Francois Stephan Gray Vandad Kashefi Anton Bogaty Alicia Rose Martin Melnick and Jordan Albertsen MISSION Sync Music Video Festival exists to showcase and celebrate today's most innovative and entertaining music videos while helping to create a support network for videomakers in the Pacific Northwest. Proceeds from this evening will be awarded to help fund the next film project by this evening's "Best Director" as voted on by a select jury of film and music industry professionals.
