Euna is just an ordinary girl living in a small village, when a chance encounter in the forest with a mischievous Fox awakens her ability to “echo” and communicate with the spirit world. The mysterious women who possess this power are called the Echo Maidens — they live outside the rules of society, both feared and scorned by the villagers as a necessary evil to combat unruly spirits. The last thing Euna wants is to become one of them! Can she find a way back to her comfortable life, or is she destined to walk the lonely path of the Echo Maiden? Inspired by Asian folktales and shamanism, this play blends fantastical elements with the real-world struggles of discovering and accepting one’s true self.

Ensemble features actors grades 9 – 12.
