The Green Dolphin Lounge Presents: Septimus says
Septimus, originally known as “Just Us,” is comprised of the Brown family of Seattle. Performing R&B and funk, the band includes members who have played together as a family for more than 40 years. The group formed in the early 70s and has been an integral part of the Seattle soul and funk scene ever since. Their legacy includes having taught the legendary Isaac Scott how to play the blues. Septimus also had some of their early music released on the second volume of The Wheedles Groove project

On the third Friday of the month, the center is transformed into a performance space, with noted local artists, good food and a no-host bar.

The Green Dolphin Lounge is named after “On Green Dolphin Street,” the main theme of the 1947 MGM film Green Dolphin Street. The movie was based on British novelist Elizabeth Goudge’s 1944 book Green Dolphin Country, published that same year in the United States as Green Dolphin Street.

Tickets are only $20 ($15 for Center Lifetime members)
