Time Out says
An All-Student Production on The 5th Avenue Stage!
2 PERFORMANCES ONLY!
Friday, March 13, 7 PM
Saturday, March 14, 2 PM
On March 13 and 14, high school students from all across Washington State will take over The 5th Avenue Theatre to present their own production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel! These talented teenagers are re-mounting The 5th Avenue's hit show, complete with the professional sets, costumes, and staging. But you'll find students in the wings running the show, in the pit playing the music, and in the office coordinating all aspects of the production -- all under the mentorship of 5th Avenue professionals!
Don't miss your chance to see the theatre professionals of tomorrow come together for this legendary production!
Carousel follows the passionate romance between carnival baker Billy Bigelow and the sweet mill worker Julie Jordan. After his untimely death, Billy is allowed to return to earth for just one day for a chance to redeem his life and make peace with the wife and daughter he left behind.
