The University Of Washington Hip Hop Cypher

The Hip Hop Cypher is an organization dedicated to unearthing talented UW emcees and producers. ______________________________________________ We work hard to create a monthly show dedicated to the Hip Hop music that trickles out of our beautiful university. Every month we scour campus for fresh talent, audition the ones we like, and compile a show from the best ones. The result is The Hip Hop Cypher. For the first half of the event, we open up the mic for a freestyle cypher. Anyone who attends the event can spit. DJ U.NO.HU, will be mixing instrumentals live. Do you have what it takes to freestyle on the stage, the lime light pouring down on you and the mic tight in your grip? Come show UW your skills. For the second half of the event, we feature artists and producers that we have hand-picked to perform. UW's illest producers, the liveliest emcees, and even a band or two will all perform original music. You might meet the DJ Mustard to your YG, or the Biggie to your Tupac. Time will tell. Come through and see the best UW has to offer at The Hip Hop Cypher! $1 Donation for entry. (We gotta pay for the theater somehow.)
