Come out to the shop on May 12th when Tino Villanueva returns for a slideshow documenting his adventures exploring Nepal's Rowlawing Valley.

"Alan Rousseau and I were recipients of the American Alpine Club's Lyman Spitzer Cutting Edge Climbing Award. After a successful, self-supported expedition in the Rolwaling Himal of Nepal in 2012, Alan and I were psyched to explore more of the huge potential deep at the head of the Rolwaling Valley. During the Autumn of 2014 we spent 1 month camped on the Drolambao Glacier getting pounded by winds and climbing big mountains. Alan and I climbed 9000ft of previously unexplored terrain on 2 peaks, climbing up to 6500 meters and succeeding in a new route on 6273m Pachermo and getting close on 6943m Tengi Ragi Tau, a mountain summited only once using siege tactics." ~ Tino

We'll be opening the doors at 7:30pm with some great refreshments from Georgetown Brewing!
