Washington Community Action Network! says
Washington Community Action Network has finished a landmark report that documents how people are struggling with everything from the cost of housing to landlord retaliation, especially marginalized communities like people of color, women, people with disabilities, the LGBTQ community, seniors, and people with low incomes. Seattle faces an unprecedented renting crisis - and we need housing justice now.

Washington CAN! will release the report’s findings at a press conference on July 21st at 11am. We will hear from tenants impacted by the renting crisis in Seattle. Councilmembers Kshama Sawant and Lisa Herbold will join us to unveil new legislation that will cap move-in fees and ease financial barriers many renters face when trying move as well as legislation to stop landlords from discriminating against a prospective tenant based on their source of income. Come join the movement for housing justice!

We will be joined by community partners, such as:

Gender Justice League
Tenants Union
Transit Riders Union
Washington Student Association
UAW 4121
