Trivia For A Cause Benefit For The Islamic Of Eastside Mosque says
Come to the Green Bean Coffee House for three hours of trivia, poetry, comedy, and good work as we raise money to support the arson-damaged Islamic Center of Eastside. We hope you'll join us at this event where we hope to build and support our community.

For those who would like to donate but can't make it to the event, the Islamic Center of Eastside, their LaunchGood Page is available here:

Trivia will be 8 rounds with entertainment and fundraising activities between. We'll have a speaker, to be determined, representing the Islamic Center of Eastside. Local poet Samar Abulhassan will read. And local comedia, Wilfred Padua, will come around to make us laugh.

Admission is $20 per person or $100 per team. Maximum team size is 6 people. Other fundraising activities will take place throughout the event.

We'll have fund prizes for the top three trivia teams. Plus gift certificates to Fremont's exquisite Cafe Turko, courtesy of owners Surreya and Gencer Gokeri, plus more to come!

Samar Abulhassan is a teaching artist and poet living in Seattle. She has worked for Seattle Arts and Lectures’ Writers in the Schools Program since 2008. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Colorado State University, where she studied fiction. She is a Hedgebrook alum, has published five chapbooks (including Farah and Nocturnal Temple), and loves working between poetry and prose.

Wilfred Padua is a comedian from Seattle who has an MFA in Writing from some school in Chicago. He has performed at Bumbershoot, Bridgetown Comedy Festival, the Laughing Devil Festival in NYC, and Summer Meltdown Music Festival. His comedy can be seen on NBC's Seeso, and heard on SiriusXM. He’s usually an idiot.
