We bouta put in that WERK on this yung Saturday afternoon. We have the amazingly talented Dani Tirrel teaching VOGUE from 3-4pm and Mac Tray teaching WAACKING from 4-5pm. Come learn a bit about the culture, the art, and the movement of these streetstyles. This class is open to all levels and all people.


Dani Tirrell is a dancer, performer, choreographer and dance educator. Most recently Dani’s work has been seen at the Seattle International Festival of Dance (Seattle), Black Choreographers Festival (San Francisco), Poetry + Motion (Seattle), On the Boards: 12 Minutes Max (Seattle), Global Dance Party (Seattle), Gay City Arts: Up Close Personal and Young Tanz Sommer (Austria).

As a Detroit native Dani has performed with Jazz and Spirit Dance Theater of Detroit, Monroe Ballet Company, Full Circle Dance Company, Detroit Windsor Dance Company and Natural Locz Dance Company that he founded and was the Artistic Director. He also toured national with VEE Corporation’s production of Sesame Street Live.

In 2012 he was awarded a grant through The Central District Forum of Arts and Ideas creation Project. Dani is currently on staff and Northwest Tap Connection and The Beacon. He has choreographed for Broadway Bound Children’s Theater (Seattle), Brown Box Theater (Seattle) and Repertory Theatre of Hope (Detroit).

Dani is the founder and Artistic Director of Dani Tirrell Dance Theater/Color Lines Dance Ensemble. He currently teaches Modern, House and Vogue throughout the Seattle area.

Tracey Wong is a dancer and choreographer. She is currently co-directing Studio 3 Company, is co-captain at Le Faux on Julia’s on Broadway, and is a member of the CRUW. She is the winner of Matter of Movement Part 5, a 1v1 allstyles battle. She has performed at Seattle International Dance Festival (Z Project), Bumbershoot (CRUW), Capitol Hill Block Party (CRUW), and more.

Her current project is Queen of the Hill - an annual all-female 7-to-smoke freestyle dance battle and showcase at Seattle’s Folklife Festival. She aspires to help cultivate the street dance scene and culture in Seattle by constantly learning and sharing it with her community as best as she can.

$10 for one class or $15 for BOTH
(we accept cash or card!)

4-5pm Waacking with Tracey Wong

Please come to register 5 minutes prior to the class you would like to take or just come in the very beginning to register for BOTH!

*This is a fundraiser! All proceeds will go towards Queen of the Hill 2016 - an all-female freestyle dance battle at Seattle's Folklife Festival. This is the second year 206 Zulu and UW HHSA are throwing this event and IT'S BOUTA BE LIT.
