White Folks & The Election:
Organizing Our People for Racial Justice

Friday (November 11th) at 6-8:30pm
6:00pm - 6:30pm Potluck
6:30pm - 8:30pm Program
Southside Commons -- Columbia City

Trump's victory is the most compelling argument in recent history for the need for white people to organize white people for racial justice. How do those of us who are white respond to the election of Donald Trump?*

At this event, we will reflect on the conditions led to Trump's victory and the need for white communities to show up against white supremacy. As white folks, let's anchor our mourning, our fears, and our rage in powerful commitments to organize our people for racial justice. We will share concrete ways how you can take action.

**Shabbat :: We want to honor that many in our white anti-racist community will be observing Shabbat as this event is occuring. Much love to our Jewish friends and comrades, who brought this to our attention. We hope to create a transforomative white anti-racist community where we can bring our full selves, including our faith and spiritulaity. We look forward to continuing to unpack the ways Christian hegemony plays out in our movement --- love to our friends at Kadima and European Dissent who are co-hosting an event on building Jewish and Christian anti-racist solidarity. --- https://www.facebook.com/events/1120288971382440/

Access info: Southside Commons has a ramp entrance alongside the parking lot (on the west side of the building). There is ADA accessible bathroom on the main hall. The building is not fragrance free, due to chemical based cleaning projects. The building is five blocks from the Columbia City light rail station, and there is street parking and limited spots in our parking lot. Please contact Got Green if you have further questions about accessibility
