The Autumn Dream exhibition project at Namsangol Hanok Village

Art Free

Bold, colorful, large scale installations have been integrated into the majestic yet quaint compounds of the Namsangol Hanok Village. This will be the second showing of the “Hanok Embraced in Art” project, showcasing 6 pieces from 6 different artists. These vibrant and lively contemporary works are fused with the traditional designs and architecture of the Hanoks, binding together the old and the new to create a refreshing sensation. The white blooming lotus set in front of the brown wooden Hanok, the colorful miniature figures dancing on top the cold gray stones and the bright green apple hidden behind the rice paper doors are all stories to be told inside your imagination. Interestingly, these strong pieces do not take away from the beauty and charm of the Hanoks, but rather are curated to accentuate the traditional aesthetics. Visit the Namsangol Hanok Village before the days get colder and live “The Autumn Dream.”
