From sharks to jellyfish, the Two Oceans Aquarium not only showcases the oceans’ wildlife but also focuses strongly on ocean sustainability. Located in the V&A Waterfront precint, the Cape Town aquarium offers interactive experiences, various exhibitions, behind the scene tours and even scuba diving lessons. 

What to expect during your visit:

The Two Oceans Aquarium boasts six different exhibitions:

• Kelp Forest Exhibit

• Diversity Exhibit

Price:

• Adult: R265

• South African pensioners: R195 (ID must be presented)

• South African students: R195 (student card must be presented)

• Children aged 14 to 17: R195

• Children aged 4 to 13: R120

• Children 3 and under: Free

Time:

• Monday to Friday: 9:30 am to 6 pm

• Weekends, school holidays, public holidays: 9 am to 6 pm

After Dark Concerts at the Two Oceans Aquarium

After Dark is back at the Two Oceans Aquarium. This event lets visitors explore the aquarium at their own pace, after hours. On four nights in June, July, August, and September 2025, the space in front of the I&J Ocean Exhibit will be turned into a relaxed, living room-style venue. Each evening will feature acoustic performances from two local acts.  30 July: Visitors Centre and Carla Franco 27 August: Mars Baby and Giuliette Price 23 September: The Dirty Skirts and Wren Hinds Band
