After Marriage Equality: An Evening With Gene Robinson

Christ Church Cathedral says
As we move toward marriage equality being a national reality, Gene Robinson, the first openly gay bishop in the Episcopal Church and current fellow at the Center for American Progress, will spend an evening at Christ Church Cathedral discussing the road ahead in the movement for LGBT rights.

Bishop Robinson will speak and lead a conversation on such questions as:

*What is the work still to be done for LGBT equality?
*Isn't it time for an omnibus LGBT rights bill?
*What is conservative Christianity doing now to thwart our progress?
*What do transgender people have to teach gay and lesbian people and what does support for trans people look like in the gay community?
*Why is it important for LGBT people to "show up" for African-Americans in Ferguson and Cleveland and New York?

The evening will also feature representatives from area LGBT advocacy organizations and an opportunity for people of faith to network and learn about different aspects of the movement for equality.

The event is free and open to the public.
