Chris Kallmyer: Commonfield Clay Performance says
Sound and social practice artist Chris Kallmyer will participate in a two-week residency at the Pulitzer in August and September, including a two-day workshop with local creators and a performance on September 5 composed with musician Andrew Tholl.

Through collecting and refining mud from the banks of the Mississippi River to make earthenware instruments, Kallmyer’s project explores the fragile materiality and experimental processes of sculptures on view at the Pulitzer while emphasizing elements of place and nature inherent to Tadao Ando’s architecture.

August 22 - September 5, residency; Saturday, September 5, performance at 7 pm

This event is free and open to the public.
