About the poets:

Dana Levin’s fourth book of poetry, "Banana Palace," was released this fall by Copper Canyon Press. Her previous collections include include "In the Surgical Theatre" (1999), "Wedding Day" (2005), and "Sky Burial" (2011), which The New Yorker called “utterly her own and utterly riveting.” Her poetry and essays have appeared in many anthologies and magazines, including Best American Poetry 2015, The New York Times, Los Angeles Review of Books, Boston Review,and Poetry. A grateful recipient of fellowships and awards from the Rona Jaffe, Whiting and Guggenheim Foundations, Levin splits her time between Santa Fe, New Mexico and Maryville University in St Louis, where she serves as Distinguished Writer in Residence each Fall.

Monica Youn is the author of "Blackacre" (Graywolf Press 2016). Her previous book Ignatz was a finalist for the 2010 National Book Award, and she has published poems in Poetry, the New Yorker, the New Republic, the Paris Review, Lana Turner, and the Best American Poetry. She is the recipient of fellowships from the Library of Congress, the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation – Bellagio, Yaddo and MacDowell. She has previously taught at Columbia University, Bennington College, and the Warren Wilson and Sarah Lawrence M.F.A. programs, and she currently teaches at Princeton University. A former lawyer, she lives in New York.
