Cory Lampkin Amplifies the Silent Struggles of the Black Queen with LACONIC

This solo exhibit showcases the silent struggles of black women & how their queendom is built.

ST. LOUIS, Apr. 13, 2015 -- Cory Lampkin today announced the latest project from Cory Lampkin Photography, one of photography's bold newcomers in St. Louis. Cory Lampkin Photography revolutionizes the classic, visual and true art - the photograph - with cutting-edge creativity and vision that evokes the complexities of our minds but simplistically reminds us of the art within reach in our world, eliminating the depreciation of today's artist and the plight of artistic ability.

"LACONIC is an expression of the black woman. For the black woman. We don't see her in this light often. I want these pictures to speak volumes," said Cory Lampkin, CEO, artist, and Head Artistic Director of Cory Lampkin Photography. "The idea behind LACONIC is to convey a powerful, meaningful message using very few words. The viewer will see, hear, and feel the silent struggles that Black women face everyday. It will be a unique viewing experience."

LACONIC features a storyline of experiences comparable to the experience that many Black women attest to having but each model was given creative control to express their individual story. The unique use of milk splashes in the photos were especially designed to visually bring to life the realness of how life hits the Black Queen and produces ripples from her to send outwardly. Admission to the exhibit is free.

LACONIC joins high ranks as Cory Lampkin further expands his work into the flourishing art scene in the St. Louis area and across the country. His intriguing visual pieces connect with each individual while transcending shallow barriers and reaching depths of every heart. LACONIC encourages society to pull back the black veil covering the mind and immerse yourself in the beautiful Black woman
