Time Out says
A forum discussion on working conditions and organizing efforts among underpaid and underrepresented employees Presented by USF Graduate Assistants United, Fight for $15, and Tampa FreeSkool
This Forum will feature community representatives from various fields of underpaid unorganized labor: fast food, home healthcare, and adjuncting, among others. These representative will testify to the particular problems workers in their field face as a result of low wage work.
In addition to the push for higher wages and unionization, the Fight For $15 is also committed to creating racial and social justice, as well as enabling community and labor solidarity. While we may all be aiming for different policy changes, our struggles are all related: we are all committed to undoing systemic economic, racial, and social injustice. It’s crucial that we listen to the voices of those engaged in parallel struggles, and find ways join together in action.
