Full message below:

With the year coming to an end, we are taking time to reflect on all the blessings in our life. One of our biggest blessings has been the outpouring of support you have shown for this campaign. Over the past 8 months, over 400 contributions have been made to the campaign. We have raised more money than any Democrat running for an open Hillsborough County Commission seat has ever raised at this point in the campaign cycle.

Not only have we raised a tremendous amount, but you have invited us into your homes and helped us spread our message. We have the most Facebook Likes, the most shares, the most media coverage. All that talk has led to thousands of people being part of the our campaign. We are the only campaign that has been actively meeting with voters across the entire county. Thanks to your help, we are building a campaign that can win countywide.

We couldn’t do it without you and we are going to be asking for a lot more as we ramp up the campaign in 2016. But, this month, we want you to join us in giving back. That is why we are hosting a Toy Drive to benefit The Spring of Tampa Bay.

The Spring is a wonderful organization that supports victims of domestic violence and their families. As a kid growing up in Hillsborough County, I remember my Dad taking us to The Spring to drop off clothes. More recently, I served on The Spring’s Development Council where I helped raise money for the shelter.

This December, I want your help. The Spring houses many families that are living at the shelter because they are victims of domestic violence. You can help bring joy to their lives by making sure the kids at The Spring will have a gift for the holidays.

All toys collected will go to the kids at The Spring. To help collect the toys, we are hosting a holiday Thank You party on:

Wednesday, December 16th, 5:30pm – 7pm
at Pour House at Grand Central
1208 E Kennedy Blvd
Tampa, FL

Bring an unwrapped gift for the children (ages 0 to 17) living in the shelter at The Spring of Tampa Bay. The Spring is also in need of toiletries, twin-size linens, pillows and blankets.

Phuong and I have been blessed in so many ways this year. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at the holiday Thank You party.
