Tampa Bay History Center says
Sarah McNamara, Ybor historian, and Manny Leto, the History Center’s Director of Marketing and former editor of Cigar City Magazine, will lead a 2-hour walking tour of Ybor City, concentrating on the often over-looked contributions of the women who helped shape Tampa’s Latino immigrant community.

The tour of Tampa’s Historic District will focus on important figures such as Cuban revolutionary Paulina Pedrosa, female lector (reader) and labor rights activist, Luisa Capatillo, as well as role female cigar workers played in the development of Ybor City and West Tampa.

This is a free tour, however, space is very limited and RSVPs via Eventbrite are required. Walk-ups cannot be accommodated.
