Songkhla's old town turns into a living gallery for Singorama Art Fest
Singorama Art Fest takes over Songkhla's old town for three days of contemporary art built around this year's theme, continuity – the festival's way of linking old residents with new ones and old stories with the questions Songkhla is asking about its own future. The centrepiece is ‘Nakhon OK: Singora Beyond Time 2,’ a community art exhibition by Nawin Lawanyachaikul and studiOK that continues a project first shown a decade ago, this time built from oral histories and portraits gathered directly from old town residents.Beyond the main show, the festival spreads across the district with newer voices too, including a showcase of three young Songkhla-based artists working through what home means to their generation.Singorama Art Fest, Songkhla Old Town.
