Singorama Art Fest takes over Songkhla's old town for three days of contemporary art built around this year's theme, continuity – the festival's way of linking old residents with new ones and old stories with the questions Songkhla is asking about its own future. The centrepiece is ‘Nakhon OK: Singora Beyond Time 2,’ a community art exhibition by Nawin Lawanyachaikul and studiOK that continues a project first shown a decade ago, this time built from oral histories and portraits gathered directly from old town residents.
Beyond the main show, the festival spreads across the district with newer voices too, including a showcase of three young Songkhla-based artists working through what home means to their generation.
