July brings five very different reasons to leave home. In Pattaya, Kliff Beach Bistro & Bar turns a buy-one-get-one wine deal into an excuse for a proper sunset session on Pratumnak Hill. Down south, Songkhla's old town becomes a three-day open-air gallery for Singorama Art Fest, while The Nai Harn in Phuket sweetens a direct booking with a daily credit that covers everything from lunch to spa time. Up north, Visama Explorer Nan offers two nights for the price of one deep in Lanna hill country, and Anantara Chiang Mai marks its 25th anniversary with a new river cruise and khantoke lunch pairing.

If you're looking for an excuse to travel this month, these are the getaways worth booking.

Here’s where to go

  • Pattaya

Kliff Beach Bistro & Bar sits on Pratumnak Hill with an uninterrupted view of Pattaya Bay. The chic seaside spot pairs its view with handcrafted drinks and a broad menu of contemporary Thai favorites and international comfort food with a twist. You won't want to rush this one.
Right now the draw is wine: guests can work through a bottle list overlooking the bay under a buy-one-get-one offer, making it perfect for a drawn-out sunset session and slow dinner.
Buy 1 bottle, get 1 free. Kliff Beach Bistro & Bar, Pratumnak Hill, Pattaya. 11.30am-9.30pm

  • Things to do

Singorama Art Fest takes over Songkhla's old town for three days of contemporary art built around this year's theme, continuity – the festival's way of linking old residents with new ones and old stories with the questions Songkhla is asking about its own future. The centrepiece is ‘Nakhon OK: Singora Beyond Time 2,’ a community art exhibition by Nawin Lawanyachaikul and studiOK that continues a project first shown a decade ago, this time built from oral histories and portraits gathered directly from old town residents.
Beyond the main show, the festival spreads across the district with newer voices too, including a showcase of three young Songkhla-based artists working through what home means to their generation.

  • Phuket

The Nai Harn sits above its namesake beach on Phuket's quieter southern tip, the kind of panoramic ocean view that does the selling before the offer does. Book three consecutive nights direct through the hotel's website and the daily international breakfast at Cosmo Restaurant comes with B1,000 credit on top, to spend however you want: a long lunch by the water, sunset cocktails, or time at the spa.
The credit's for on-property spending only and can't be stacked with other offers or cashed out, so it's really a discount – worth doing the math on before you book.
B1,000 daily credit, minimum 3 nights, direct booking only. The Nai Harn, Phuket. Valid for stays through December 20, 2026, blackout dates apply

  • Nan

Visama Explorer Nan sits deep in Nan province, a two-hour drive from the airport into hill country shaped by Lanna and Thai Lue culture. The eco-luxury tented camp is running a promotion through mid-August: book two consecutive nights and pay for one, with breakfast, set dinner, minibar, archery and mountain bikes all included.
Getting there is part of the experience. Transfers from the airport can route past Wat Phumin's famed Lanna murals, an art gallery, cotton weaving and silver-making workshops, a mountain viewpoint at 1,715 metres and stops for local cocoa and kanom jeen noodles served with curries.
Once you're at camp there's dawn forest treks, campfire evenings, temple blessings and cycling through a private valley. Activities can be tailored too – recharging and calm for Buddhist holidays, or built around mothers and children for the Queen's Birthday and Mother's Day.
Two nights for the price of one, breakfast and dinner included. Thailand residents only. Visama Explorer Nan, Nan. Valid for stays through August 15, 2026

  • Chiang Mai

Anantara Chiang Mai Resort is marking the brand's 25th anniversary with The Chronicles of Chiang Mai, a new cultural itinerary built around the city's waterways. The morning starts aboard Nam Jai, the resort's handcrafted teak boat, for a 90-minute cruise along the Mae Ping River past Wat Ket Karam and the trading-era riverside neighbourhoods that shaped the city, with a Michelin-recognised local delicacy served along the way.
Back on land, the day continues with a traditional Northern Thai khantoke lunch at Bodhi Terrace, served beneath centuries-old bodhi trees on the riverbank, built around Lanna recipes and seasonal ingredients. The experience runs standalone for non-guests or as part of a two-night stay package for those who want to extend it.
From B3,600 per person or B5,400 per couple, includes the river voyage and khantoke lunch. Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, Chiang Mai
