Time Out says

This year's Top Chef crown went to chef Tristen Epps-Long of Houston for his mastery in the kitchen and passion for Afro-Caribbean cuisine. This week, the chef makes a pit stop in New York, celebrating his victory lap in one of the best ways: with hot dogs.

On Friday, November 21, chef Epps-Long will be teaming up with Pervaiz Shallwani of Chaat Dog for a hot dog party at Time Out Market New York, Dumbo. For the one-day-only collab, the duo will be cooking up a menu of four signature dogs. Epps-Long's Afro-Caribbean flavors can be found in the Lamb Hot Dog with grilled scallion aioli and jerk mushrooms, ketchup, and crispy shallots, while the Beef Hot Dog will be topped with kitfo chili, feta, and cracklin injera. Desi street eats from Shallwani include the ChaatWurst, a butter chicken sausage topped with corn and poblano chaat, two different chutneys—mint and cilantro and tamarind cherry chutney—crispy onions, sev and boondi and chaat salt cilantro; and the Chaat Dog with aloo chaat, mint and cilantro chutney, tamarind cherry chutney, fried onions, chickpea crispies and chaat salt cilantro. Still hungry? You can always get a side of Chaat-Cho’s a.k.a. nachos. Even better, you can sub in a veggie dog so all can be invited to the party.

The hot dogs will be available from 11am until sold out, so don't miss out!
