Spread Love Brooklyn's mission is a simple one: create a kinder city for all. Since 2022, the mutual aid organization has supplied the community in various ways, hosting food drives for food-insecure families, toy and back-to-school drives for children and clothing drives to welcome incoming asylum seekers. Starting now, Spread Love Brooklyn is hosting a clothing drive all holiday season long.
Starting Monday, November 24, to Friday, December 26, Spread Love Brooklyn is hosting a clothing drive at Time Out Market New York, Dumbo. Guests can drop off their new or gently-used* winter coats and accessories for neighbors in need at designated drop boxes located on the Market's First and Fifth floors. Think men’s, women’s and children’s jackets (puffy, no dress coats), hats, gloves, mittens and scarves for all ages and sizes. At the end of December, the organization will distribute the donations to community members in need. So help the organization by spreading love this season, the Brooklyn way.
*Donations must be washed and free of rips, stains and other visible damage.
