Since 1967, the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs has been helping ship promising artists overseas to spend some quality time with masters of their respective disciplines. Set to show that all that government money was well spent, this exhibition looks back at the history of the snappily titled Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists, displaying work by 74 of its alumni – including painters Hiroshi Okutani, Noriko Tamura and Asuka Irie.
