The works of the late-19th century Art Nouveau movement continue to enjoy considerable popularity in Japan – which is hardly surprising given that they were themselves influenced by ukiyo-e woodblock prints. Czech painter Alphonse Mucha was practically the patron saint of the movement, and you can get a full overview of his career at this thematic retrospective. Produced in collaboration with the Mucha Foundation, the show features over 240 pieces, many of which are being displayed here for the first time.
