Take this guided tour to learn all there is to know about the architecture of the Kunio Maekawa-designed Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, completed in 1975. Having studied under Le Corbusier and Antonin Raymond, Maekawa laid the foundation for modernist architecture in Japan. His vision of public architecture is reflected in this brick-faced building, which has maintained its historically significant appearance despite undergoing extensive renovation in recent years.
Note that the guided tour will only be held in Japanese.
