In a time where it’s especially hard to describe the current circumstances into words, Tokyo-born artist Shun Sudo has taken to letting his painting speak for him. As an artist who splits his time between Tokyo and New York, Sudo’s vibrant murals have been described to contain elements of both American-style pop art as well as street art. Rather than trying to intellectualise his creations or delve into deeper meanings behind the works, Sudo encourages viewers to take in his visuals at face value. After all, some emotions can only be communicated through art.
