One of the most visible Japanese art directors today, Katsumi Asaba has made his mark on companies and organisations ranging from Seibu Holdings to the Democratic Party and the Japan Table Tennis Association, developing a highly recognisable style that draws from a wide range of influences, including the Dongba symbols used by China's Nakhi ethnic group. This exhibit introduces viewers to Asaba's typographic preferences through both new works and past pieces, including posters, diaries and collages. PR geeks should have a field day.
