Time Out says

In celebration of Intermediatheque’s tenth anniversary, the University of Tokyo is collaborating with Van Cleef & Arpels' L’école, School of Jewelry Arts, for a special exhibition of exotic birds. With a combination of scientific materials, including real taxidermied birds and hand-crafted jewellery with bird motifs, this showcase covers both fantastical and true-to-life depictions of different avians.

Visitors will get insight into the biological intricacies of bird colouration and plumage and how they have inspired various forms of art and design. There will be a particular focus on birds in paradise, which the exhibition is named after, based on their rare beauty and mentions in countless poems and legends throughout history.
