Time Out says

Dutch photographer Charlotte Dumas has been documenting animals since 2001, capturing horses, tigers, dogs and wolves in both their natural habitat and in the service of humans. ‘Anima’, her award-winning 2012 book, featured the burial horses that pull the caskets of fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia, while ‘Work Horse’ – the focus of this exhibition – highlights the eight horse breeds found in Japan. See around 50 shots from locations like Hokkaido, Nagano, Miyazaki and Okinawa’s Yonaguni Island, and learn how horses and humans live together in an incredibly diverse set of Japanese landscapes.
