Back for his second solo exhibition at Ota Fine Arts, contemporary Chinese photographer Chen Wei is based in Beijing and captures a developing China, questioning the individual's place within the changing social landscape through choreographed compositions. His carefully composed, emphatic, often painterly photos are finding an increasingly international audience, with a recent exhibition at Melbourne's Centre for Contemporary Photography a case in point. This show also includes sculpture works made with LED boards.
