German artist Erik Swars returns to the Shinjuku gallery formerly known as Matchbaco to show off his dynamic, semi-abstract paintings that draw on themes like 'the past, present, and future self', 'the relationship between the state and individuals', and 'the connection between nature and humanity'. See some of the Leipzig native's most recent works at this exhibition, which functions as a preview of sorts for his upcoming appearance at Art Fair Tokyo.
