A travelling exhibition put together as part of the celebrations marking 100 years of Finnish independence, this extensive look at design from that Nordic nation heads to Fuchu in September. You'll get to admire a broad selection of fabrics, furniture, tableware and quirkier items from Japan-conquering brands such as Marimekko, Aalto and Iiittala, while the chronologically organised show also provides an overview of Finland's design history – from pre-independence decorative arts to contemporary trends. And it's not all sleek and practical products either: 'Finnish Design' also includes a selection of drawings and other materials by 'Moomin' creator Tove Jansson.
