Hajime Sorayama returns to Nanzuka this spring with his large-scale solo exhibition titled ‘Space Traveler’. The massive exhibition takes over three art spaces – Nanzuka Underground in Harajuku, Nanzuka 2G at Shibuya Parco and 3110NZ by LDH Kitchen in Nakameguro.
Known best for his 'Sexy Robot' series, Sorayama has gone on to depict all kinds of creatures as robots, including animals and dinosaurs. 'Space Traveler' presents a virtual narrative of the future that transcends human physicality. In this exhibition, you can see Sorayama's iconic large-scale installations of human-sized robot sculptures, canvas paintings as well as his first video work using CG technology.
