Katsushika Oi, daughter of the great Hokusai, was a formidable ukiyo-e artist in her own right. Her play with lights and shadows is both mysterious and charming, and her works portraying beautiful women are even said to outshine her father's. Only a few of her works have been identified to date, making this exhibition the most complete retrospective of her art so far.
