Lee Kit: Not Untitled

Time Out says

Taipei-based artist Lee Kit is a hotly tipped name in his field, having represented his native Hong Kong at the Venice Biennale in 2013 and held solo exhibitions in Europe, the US and Japan (Shiseido Gallery in 2015) after that. The 39-year-old's socially conscious creations hint at themes like stress in urban environments and the effects of growing inequality. Manipulating materials from cardboard and cloth to everyday items such as lamps and umbrellas, Lee paints a picture of hope and optimism in the face of adversity. He now stops by Roppongi's ShugoArts for a display that uses projector paintings to transform the entire gallery into a canvas.
