A celebration of art and culture set in the forest surrounding Meiji Shrine, this festival – co-presented by Japan Cultural Expo – zooms in on the relationship between nature and Japanese culture. The diverse art programme, which coincides with the host venue Meiji Shrine's 100th anniversary, features several exhibitions which will run throughout 2021.

The latest exhibition to be featured in the festival is the series of sculptures titled 'Kiinseido: Hirakushi Denchu and Works Connecting Tradition with the Future’. It highlights the work of Hirakushi Tanaka, whose art had a powerful influence on modern and contemporary sculptures in Japan spanning from the 21st century to now. Other fantastical creations to look out for include sculptures by leading artists such as Kohei Nawa and Yoshimasa Tsuchiya which are all displayed in the Meiji Jingu Treasure Hall.
