Mikiko Kumazawa: Coming and Going

Surrealistic, psychological and supremely detailed pencil drawings are the domain of 34-year-old Mikiko Kumazawa, a Musashino Art University graduate who has recently started adding vivid colours to her previously all-monochrome work. Winner of the 2016 Suga Tatehiko Prize, awarded by the Kurayoshi Museum in Tottori to artists who depict 'modern-day living', Kumazawa now presents three new coloured pieces from her 'World Food Tour' series, in addition to a selection of more familiar pencil drawings.
