Looking back at six years of photographing cross-dressers, who forgo the moniker of drag queen and describe themselves as 'josou' (the Japanese word for a man dressed as a woman), photographer and coordinator Naoko Tachibana's extensive solo exhibit asks multi-faceted questions about beauty, sex and happiness. Challenging social conventions on gender, she stresses every individual's right to self-expression and pride in one's own identity.
