This is the first exhibition by Tokyo-based photographer Nico Perez, who will also be launching his debut photo book, ‘Momentary’, as part of the show. Originally from Spain, Perez split his time between his home and the UK before moving to Japan in 2009. He now works as a freelance photographer in Tokyo and London, drawing inspiration from ‘colours and the way they influence my mood’. His book is filled with images showing, simply, moments in time, which he says he aims to portray in a poetic way so as to reflect how emotions, people, surroundings and life in general are all momentary.
Pick up a copy of 'Momentary' at the exhibition or order it online via www.pereznico.com for ¥3,800 (excluding tax). From July, it will also be stocked in bookshops across Japan and at The Photographer’s Gallery in London.
