Time Out says

Though Okinawa is famous for its stunning beaches, this exhibition brings together the archipelago’s leading artists to convey the appeal of Okinawa beyond its coastal beauty. Okinawa’s history differs from that of other regions in Japan, and the islands have fostered their own unique culture. The exhibition's diverse works, produced by photographers living in Okinawa, cast their lens across the entire Ryukyu Arc (the islands connected in an arc from the Amami to the Yaeyama islands) to reveal the richness of the islands as well as their unique struggles.
