Now one of the world's leading next-generation glass artists, Kyoto-born Ritsue Mishima has been based in Venice for almost three decades now, having originally moved to the City of Water to pursue love, not art. However, the former stylist soon became enchanted with Venice's traditional Murano glass and began crafting transparent, dreamy pieces that draw on the interplay between light and shadows. See a selection of Mishima's new works at ShugoArts, now based at Roppongi's Complex665.
