Time Out says

Having grown up in the remote Cornish town of St Ives, British-Japanese contemporary artist Simon Fujiwara broke into the centre of the international art world in his late 20s, establishing studios in Berlin and Mexico City and exhibiting from Brazil, Spain and Switzerland to San Francisco. Proficient in media as diverse as painting, sculpture and video, he creates installations incorporating both social commentary and personal themes such as family and identity. After a critically acclaimed display at Andrea Rosen in New York and a contribution to last year's Parasophia festival in Kyoto, Fujiwara now gets his first solo show in Japan. 'White Day' at the Opera City gallery is constructed in the form of a factory assembly line, with some of the pieces being 'produced' during the exhibition period.
