A mere two-and-a-half millennia after it was made, Mylon's Discobolus makes its Tokyo debut this summer as part of a bumper exhibition of works from that august institution of colonial pilfering, the British Museum. There'll be 135 works on display in 'The Body' (or 'The Body Beautiful in Ancient Greece from the British Museum', to give it its full name), which arrives in town after a successful run in Kobe. Just a hunch, but we suspect the elderly museum-goers who flock to Ueno will go nuts over this one.
