Damaged shoes, discarded clothes, scars on a body – such less than perfect signs of daily life are the domain of up-and-coming painter Tomona Matsukawa, who bases her strikingly realistic work on details gleaned from interviews with women of her own generation. Having participated in 2016's 'Roppongi Crossing' at the Mori Museum, Matsukawa turns spoiled makeup and coffee stains into things of beauty. In addition to paintings, this exhibition includes a series of installations created with mirrors.
