Time Out says

Get ready to be transported to the fantastical world of Studio Ghibli at the animation house’s first exhibition in Tokyo in three years. The exhibition celebrates the work of Toshio Suzuki, the production house’s co-founder and former president, and is an upgrade on the exhibitions previously held in Hiroshima, Nagoya and Kanazawa.

Suzuki has played an integral role as producer for Studio Ghibli’s evocative anime hits like ‘Howl’s Moving Castle’ and ‘Spirited Away’. His original documents, notes and illustrations that reveal thought processes for scenes and plot directions will be on display at the exhibition. Plus, little do fans know that Suzuki is also a huge name in the world of calligraphy.

Fan wanting unique Studio Ghibli memorabilia won’t be disappointed – there’s an exclusive range of merchandise designed in collaboration with Kanda Shrine for sale. Look out for ema and omamori (prayer plaques and amulets); posters decorated with the face of Yubaba, the proprietor of the magical bathhouse in Spirited Away; and inspirational quotes from Suzuki, inscribed in his own hand. The Edocco café will even serve a Studio Ghibli-inspired menu.

For fans who want an in-depth view into the world of Ghibli, this exhibition is not to be missed.
